9.2 Equipment description
1. Equipment description and ultrasonic introduction
▲ device description
This ultrasonic cleaner is a fully automatic machine, with the cleaning process controlled by a PLC. It features an 8-unit continuous cleaning line, consisting of stainless steel ultrasonic cleaning tanks and rinsing tanks. The operator places the workpieces in the cleaning baskets into the tanks. The gantry robot then sequentially picks up the workpieces to each process section, where they undergo a series of cleaning steps to complete one cycle. For more details, see the attached diagram and the following description.
▲ Basic principle and characteristics of ultrasonic
The 28KHZ ultrasonic signal generated by the ultrasonic generator is converted into mechanical vibrations of the same frequency through the piezoelectric effect of the transducer, and these vibrations are radiated as ultrasonic mechanical waves in the cleaning solution. The alternating positive and negative pressure zones of these mechanical waves create countless tiny bubbles, each exceeding 1000 atmospheres, which burst at any moment. This process generates a fine localized high-pressure impact on the surface of the object, causing the dirt to quickly flake off from the surface and in the crevices. This phenomenon is known as the 'cavitation effect' in ultrasonic cleaning.
